Vietnam vet wrongfully convicted of 1975 Greenburgh rape files lawsuit

Leonard Mack, 72, emerges from the courthouse in White Plains on Sept. 5. After 47 years he was exonerated for a rape he did not commit. Mack served seven and a half years behind bars for the 1975 crime, but said he was never "truly" free until now. The Innocence Project said Mack's is believed to be the oldest conviction to be overturned by DNA evidence. Evidence from the crime, run through a DNA database, pointed authorities to the real attacker, who subsequently confessed, the authorities said.
